Our deep water autonomous vehicle, DART, was finalized last week and the initial tests were performed in our lab in order to prepare this week’s deployment at sea.

After extensively testing all the electronics specifically designed for this deep water vehicle, our team began preparing the vehicle for the sea trials that will take place this week. Tests included:

  • Floatation calibration;
  • Setting parameters for the motor controllers;
  • Configurating and testing software modules;
  • Testing basic maneuvers.
